Grocane wishes to highlight the dangerous fire conditions which prevail currently. Strong winds accompanied by high temperatures, as well as the absence of any moisture, are making the situation hazardous.
Please be aware of any uncontrolled fires and take action as soon as possible. All farms should have a standby team to engage with any runaway fires ASAP. Please do not hesitate to call for assistance when needed.
We encourage all our members to continue to communicate with their local FPO’s to stay abreast of the status of burning practices and their regions current Fire Danger Index.
