Dear Members,
We were fortunate to hold another successful AGM on 24th July 2025. We bid farewell to Peter Richards who retired after 23 years of service. Thank you for the many years of loyal service Pete.
Our newly elected Director is Tim Crookes, welcome to Grocane Tim, and we wish you many productive years as a Director of Grocane.
Grocane wishes to highlight the dangerous fire conditions which prevail currently. Strong winds accompanied by high temperatures, as well as the absence of moisture, are making the situation hazardous.
Please be aware of any uncontrolled fires and act as soon as possible. All farms should have a standby team to engage with any runaway fires ASAP. Please do not hesitate to call for assistance when needed.
We encourage all our members to continue to communicate with their local FPO’s to stay abreast of the status of burning practices, and their regions current Fire Danger Index. Remember that you are required to join the FPA if there is one in your area.
