Once again, we have negotiated another challenging year. Grocane continues to investigate all types of risk management options in an effort to maintain our Co-Op’s sustainability.
The increased efficiency of some of the mills has helped to crush most of the 2023/24 crop. It would seem that most of the mills have carried out adequate off crop maintenance and are prepared to crush the new seasons crop.
Due to the 26% increase in the R.V. price, and subsequently an increase in Grocane’s risk profile, the Board reluctantly has had to increase premiums for the first time in 4 years. We are sure that Members understand that the higher the R.V. price the more Grocane must pay for claims.
As we enter a new season you are urged to look at all your fire-fighting equipment, refurbish or renew where necessary and remain constantly vigilant.
